Boxcitement is a monthly subscription box that brings you an exclusive collection of quality stationery items, crafting and wrapping accessories and a range of stylish gifts.

The team consists of Pierre, Sean and Deb, who are a small but perfectly formed team with many years’ combined experience in creative fields such as graphic design, fashion design, jewellery making and illustration.

Upfront subscriptions of 3, 6 or 12 months are available from £15 per month, or you can have an ongoing monthly subscription for £18 per month. All subscriptions come with free UK P&P. All boxes are sent on 22nd (or next working day) of every month.

Each month there is a new theme, and this months theme is ‘Midsummer Nights’.

‘Celebrating the longest day, hazy sunshine and balmy moonlit evenings. Throw in some alfresco eating, creative essentials and lovely handcrafted goodies and you’re in for a dreamy summer!’

My box arrived safe and sound two days after it was sent. Large letter sized kraft box secured with Boxcitement tape. It was a delight to open, with an information card attached to the inside of the lid and well packed contents with tissue paper confetti, I couldn’t wait to delve in!

First item I opened was a small square golden envelope, containing a stylish leather wrap bracelet.

Next was a handcrafted clay decoration with ‘Hello Sunshine’ embossed in sunshine yellow with a contrasting blue ribbon to hang wherever you wish.

Some useful metallic ribbon to add to my ribbon box, ideal for crafting our gift wrapping.

Three exclusive pencils created for this months theme, displayed on a lovely card with the words ‘ Some days you just have to create your own sunshine’. Perfect for the handy ‘Dream Catcher’ project handbook. Also there is a mindfulness colouring print to enjoy whilst sat in the garden one summers evening (or in my case the balcony :P)

Can I just say that I love that even the packaging for the items has been thought about too! The envelope for the notecards has the design from the clay decoration stamped on in gold ink! Lovely collection of 4 notecards with various designs.

And finally, a ‘Lunch in the sun’ lunch bag which I will certainly be using from now on! Beautifully printed with god ink on a canvas bag.

I believe this subscription box is great value for money and the quality of the contents is really good too! You can really see the thought, effort and presentation that has been put into the theme/box. Great job Boxcitment 🙂

Baby Dino Toy

My friend is due to have her first child in October and I really wanted to make her a little something for baby. After a few hours browsing Pinterest (as you do), I came across this great Baby Dino Pattern by First Day of Mae.

I rummaged through my material scraps and ribbon box, hour or so later I managed to pull together this little beauty. I personally feel like I could of done a slightly better job sewing him up after stuffing but I guess that’s the charm of handmade sometimes 🙂
